HarperTeen & NetGalley team up- it's a match made in book heaven!

Just thought I'd share this exciting piece of news with you! I've been a big fan of NetGalley ever since I started blogging. They have some great pre-release books on there, and even better all their galleys are available to international bloggers. Now, NetGalley has teamed up with HarperTeen, and you should see the titles on offer. Amazing!  If this doesn't make me invest in an ereader, nothing will! Actually, I don't know why I've put it off for so long. I already know what ereader I want to buy - I did a post about it on here a while back. Now I think it's going to happen!

Check out the full list of titles available: here

I've added a couple of some of the top titles available.  I'm most excited for The Lying Game and Delirium.  If they added Desires of the Dead by Kimberly Derting, I'd be their BFF forever!

*Edited to add: So I've heard that a lot of bloggers are being declined for these galleys. I guess they are getting a lot of requests from them, and not everyone can get them. I suggest you have all your NetGalley info up to date - full profile filled in. Other than that, I can't offer much advice. I haven't requested any of these titles yet. I don't know if the best thing is to get in there fast and try to get a galley or to wait it out until the hype dies down. Good luck everyone!

The Lying Game by Sara Shepard.
Release date: December 7th 2010.

New York Times bestselling author Sara Shepard’s new series weaves a mystery of long-lost twins, mistaken identities, a duplicitous circle of friends, and cold-blooded murder. Combining juicy plot lines, to-die-for lifestyles, a tangled web of friendship and romance, magnetic characters, and sharp-witted narration from the afterlife, The Lying Game is an alluring cross between Pretty Little Liars and The Lovely Bones.

Foster kid Emma Paxton has only just discovered Sutton Mercer, the wealthy twin sister she never knew she had, when Sutton drops off the face of the earth, asking Emma to cover for her at home, school, and with her friends—just for a few days. At first Emma enjoys trying on her sister’s fabulous life: her fiercely loyal friends, her adoring boyfriend, her close-knit family. But as Emma is drawn deeper into Sutton’s world she finds the friends are not so fabulous, the boyfriend is not who she wants to be with, and the family is clinging to long-buried secrets and a veneer of functionality. And worst of all, Sutton may not be coming back. In fact, someone may have made sure she never could…and that someone knows Emma is not who she claims to be. Emma will need all her wits to survive The Lying Game.

Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Release date: February 1st 2011

Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -the deliria- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton
Release date: February 15th 2011

When seventeen-year-old Ellie starts seeing reapers - monstrous creatures who devour humans and send their souls to Hell - she finds herself on the front lines of a supernatural war between archangels and the Fallen and faced with the possible destruction of her soul.

A mysterious boy named Will reveals she is the reincarnation of an ancient warrior, the only one capable of wielding swords of angelfire to fight the reapers, and he is an immortal sworn to protect her in battle. Now that Ellie's powers have been awakened, a powerful reaper called Bastian has come forward to challenge her. He has employed a fierce assassin to eliminate her - an assassin who has already killed her once.

While balancing her dwindling social life and reaper-hunting duties, she and Will discover Bastian is searching for a dormant creature believed to be a true soul reaper. Bastian plans to use this weapon to ignite the End of Days and to destroy Ellie's soul, ending her rebirth cycle forever. Now, she must face an army of Bastian's most frightening reapers, prevent the soul reaper from consuming her soul, and uncover the secrets of her past lives - including truths that may be too frightening to remember.

There's also a lot of other great teen titles on there (Unearthly by Cynthia Hand is one I'll be checking out) and a couple of adult titles from HarperCollins that I'm interested in reading. The new novel from Jessica Anya Blau, Drinking Closer to Home, sounds good.
