My Summer Spotlight feature was meant to be all wrapped up by now, but due to major internet issues everything on the blog has been pushed back a bit, so here's my wrap-up including details of a summer reading fail and a pretty cool giveaway!
This Summer....
I read a ton of great beach reads, but guess what, even though I live right by the beach, I spent virtually no time at all there due to bad weather. Similarly, when I went to Schull in West Cork for a break, my whole time there was a washout. We have had such a bad summer weather wise. I hope next summer is better!
My Favourite Summer Read of 2012....
Oooh, it's a hard choice. I read some really great books this summer including Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson and Pushing the Limits by Kate McGarry, but ultimately my favourite summer read this year was We'll Always Have Summer, the third and final instalment in Jenny Han's Summer series. I had such a great time reading that book. #TeamConradForever
My Summer Reading Fail....
Once again I failed to read any Sarah Dessen. I can't believe I still haven't read any of her books! I bought Along for the Ride and The Truth About Forever a while back, but I never got around to reading them. Hopefully, next summer I'll get to them! I so know I need to read some Dessen. I've heard so many good things!
Of Course....
I couldn't sign of from Summer Spotlight without having a giveaway to say thanks for all your comments on my summer features and reviews.
